This website uses united inches (ui) for all custom sized orders. You must understand how to calculate united inches in order to properly select the correct united inch range. The price of your desired item is dependent on the united inches value. If you manually enter an order where the size you enter do not match up to the united inches you select in the drop-down menu, your order will likely be cancelled.

It is very easy to calculate united inches, and here's the 5 easy steps to show you how! Once you know the united inches for your project, you can easily determine pricing for any frame, glazing, backing, etc.

HOW TO CALCULATE UI (UNITED INCHES):

1. Take your tape measure and get your artwork that needs to be framed.

2. Measure the length of your artwork. Take your tape measure and measure horizontally from the edge of the artwork to the edge.

3. Measure the height of your artwork. Take your tape measure and repeat the same process, but measure the artwork vertically this time.

4. Combine your two measurements by adding them together.

5. The result is your total united inches.

If your artwork measures 18” wide and 24” high, your artwork is 42 United Inches. When ordering your item, select the drop-down range that encompasses 42ui.
